{"id":3986,"date":"2012-10-26T17:45:11","date_gmt":"2012-10-26T21:45:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.billdawers.com\/?p=3986"},"modified":"2013-03-04T09:20:34","modified_gmt":"2013-03-04T14:20:34","slug":"the-casket-girls-triathalon-at-marc-by-marc-jacobs-in-savannah","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.billdawers.com\/2012\/10\/26\/the-casket-girls-triathalon-at-marc-by-marc-jacobs-in-savannah\/","title":{"rendered":"The Casket Girls, Triathalon at Marc by Marc Jacobs in Savannah"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><div class=\"e26b170012445c56d240655bdd03f7bf\" data-index=\"10\" style=\"float: right; margin:10px 0 10px 10px;\">\n<script async src=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script>\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\r\n     style=\"display:inline-block;width:300px;height:600px\"\r\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-5595881567027133\"\r\n     data-ad-slot=\"8268618372\"><\/ins>\r\n<script>\r\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\r\n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n<br \/>\nWhy don&#8217;t things like this happen more often?<\/p>\n<p>In conjunction with illustrator and album artist William Schaff&#8217;s book-signing of <em>From Black Sheep Boys to Bill Collectors<\/em>, Triathalon and The Casket Girls performed short, relatively quiet sets at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marcjacobs.com\/store\/list?cc=us&#038;city=savannah\" target=\"_blank\">Marc by Marc Jacobs on Broughton Street<\/a> late Thursday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>The event also served as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.billdawers.com\/2012\/09\/24\/graveface-fest-2012-southern-pine-company-102712\/\" target=\"_blank\">a great promotion for Graveface Fest on Saturday, October 27th, featuring Black Moth Super Rainbow, CUSSES, and lots of other bands. <\/a><\/p>\n<p>The performances &#8212; and a raffle of some pretty cool stuff &#8212; brought a steady stream of folks into the store, which is wonderfully spacious and airy, with great light and great views out onto Broughton and Montgomery streets.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/triathalon?fref=ts\" target=\"_blank\">Triathalon<\/a> was up first, and they decided to perform in drag. Really bad drag, as you can see in the photos.
