(<a href=\"http:\/\/www.billdawers.com\/2012\/05\/24\/modern-skirts-the-district-attorneys-the-jinx-060812\/\" target=\"_blank\">Click here<\/a> for clips from those two Athens-based bands.) <\/p>\n<p>The SMN also has <a href=\"http:\/\/savannahnow.com\/do\/2012-06-07\/music-matters-eric-britt-went-dark-times-athens-savannah-good-life#.T9EHC7BDyDk\" target=\"_blank\">coverage of several gigs<\/a> by Eric Britt and of Tuesday&#8217;s Live Wire appearance by <a href=\"http:\/\/savannahnow.com\/do\/2012-06-06\/river-street-due-severe-dance-infection#.T9EHgbBDyDk\" target=\"_blank\">Orgone<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Looking ahead over the next couple of weeks, Live Wire has some especially big gigs.<\/p>\n<p>There are obviously all sorts of gigs by other Savannah acts, including one of my favorite bands Damon and the Shitkickers who have a typically busy weekend: Friday &#8211; 10pm-2:00am at Huc-A-Poo&#8217;s on Tybee, Saturday &#8211; 6pm-8:30pm at The Jinx and later that night 10pm-2:00am at Wild Wing.<\/p>\n<p>But you&#8217;re likely to see and hear some pretty good live music on your computer this weekend.
